Concert at St. Michael's Church
In the heart of Budapest, just steps from the banks of the Danube, stands St. Michael's Church, one of the churches with the best acoustics in the Hungarian capital. Here, architecture and music merge to offer you a unique evening.
The star of the show will be the majestic pipe organ, a monumental instrument capable of displaying a surprising richness of timbre. Did you know that an organ can reproduce sounds comparable to those of an entire orchestra thanks to its multiple stops?
The recital, lasting 1 hour and 10 minutes, will be performed by the Hungarian organist Miklós Teleki, whose refined technique and interpretive sensitivity will allow you to appreciate every nuance of the musical pieces.
Throughout the concert, you'll journey through different musical periods, from the Baroque to the Romantic era, listening to compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and César Franck.
Bach's mathematical precision, Vivaldi's rhythmic vitality, Mozart's melodic elegance, and Franck's emotional depth will reveal different facets of the organ. It's a truly sophisticated cultural experience in one of Budapest's most special locations!
