Budapest's Best Thermal Baths

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of Budapest is its abundance of thermal waters. In fact, did you know Budapest is often called the City of Spas? Among its nine renowned medicinal thermal baths, Széchenyi stands out as one of the most iconic—and it’s easy to see why.

Nestled in the heart of City Park, the Széchenyi Baths hold the title of the largest medicinal bath complex in Europe. Opened in 1913, this architectural gem was built in an elegant neo-Baroque style and has become a beloved symbol of relaxation and wellness.

It’s the perfect spot to unwind while soaking in history—literally. Up next, we’ll explore the wide range of facilities and experiences that make Széchenyi Baths truly unforgettable.

Pools & Facilities

The Széchenyi Spa offers an impressive array of wellness experiences, including 15 indoor thermal pools, 3 outdoor pools, a jacuzzi pool, 10 saunas and steam rooms, massage rooms, aquagym sessions, and a variety of beauty and anti-cellulite treatments—just to name a few.

With this ticket, you’ll have access to all these facilities in one of Budapest’s most iconic spots for rest and rejuvenation. It’s not just a spa—it’s a true temple of relaxation and one of the city’s must-see attractions. Don’t miss the chance to experience it for yourself!

Opening Times

The Széchenyi Spa is open every day of the year at the following times:

Monday to Friday: from 7 am to 8 pm, and last admission one hour before closing.
Saturdays and Sundays: from 8 am to 8 pm, and last admission one hour before closing.

Please Note

Due to the exceptional water shortage and heat we are currently experiencing, one of the saunas will remain closed. The rest will stay open, as they run on gas heating.

Please also note that the water attractions in the pools operate daily until 5 pm.
