Day Trip to Vale do Rio das Antas & Serra Gaúcha Wineries
At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Caxias do Sul to embark on an exciting excursion to Vale do Rio das Antas, starting from the city of Bento Gonçalves. Our first stop will be the Vale do Rio das Antas, where you'll be captivated by the stunning landscapes of this southern Brazilian region. As we cross the river, you'll see the Ernesto Dornelles Bridge, one of the longest arch bridges worldwide.
Our next destination will be Casa Bucco, the birthplace of one of the country's most distinguished cachaças. We'll teach you about this beverage's characteristics and the unique process involved in its production by this Italian family business that began with grappa manufacturing.
Afterward, we'll proceed to the renowned Salton winery, located in the heart of the Serra Gaúcha. The winery was founded by Italian immigrants in 1884 and is now one of the top wine and sparkling wine producers in the region. We'll stroll through the vineyards, witness the production facilities, and indulge in a tasting of their finest products.
Afterwards, we will go to Vale dos Vinhedos, where you can visit a local winery. Afterwards, we'll give you some free time to enjoy lunch nearby at a local restaurant to taste the rich local gastronomy, which is unmistakably Italian.
Then, we'll return to your hotel in Caxias do Sul and conclude this tour of Vale do Rio das Antas and the wineries of Serra Gaúcha, 8 hours later.
