With your ticket to the Museu Banksy in Lisbon, get a glimpse into the mind of one of the world's most enigmatic artists! Explore interactive recreations of iconic Banksy pieces.

Banksy: The World's Most Famous Street Artist

Maintaining a hidden identity, Banksy's artistic career has flourished on the streets of major cities across the world for over 20 years. The mystery of 'Who is Banksy' combined with how quickly new pieces appear, adds to the intrigue surrounding their work.

Not to mention, how does the artist maintain their secret identity? When historic pieces suddenly appear on the bustling streets of cities like Liverpool, Bristol, L.A., Paris, and Jerusalem, how does Banksy accomplish such iconic works without being seen?

On top of that, looking at the themes in his work makes it even more interesting. His strong political and social messages really hit home and have moved a lot of people.

No doubt, the controversy stirred by Banksy's work has been a major factor in his global recognition. Since his early career, starting with the famous Girl with Balloon in London back in 2002, his pieces have been in high demand.

Did you know that a copy of his iconic Girl with Balloon was auctioned for over a million pounds? But right after the auction ended, the artwork was destroyed. Why? It’s just another example of the mystery that seems to follow everything Banksy does.

The Museu Banksy Lisbon: A Must-See

Can you imagine seeing over 100 original-size works by Banksy? That’s exactly what a visit to the Banksy Museum in Lisbon offers. Along with unique pieces from private collections, this exhibition immerses you in an experience with captivating audiovisual projections, transporting you to the cities where Banksy's works are located—all without leaving Lisbon!

Your ticket to the Banksy Museum also gives you a close-up look at his most famous works, including Sweep it Under the Carpet, Soldier Throwing Flowers, Stop and Search, Kissing Coppers, and of course, Girl with Balloon. You’ll also be amazed by the screening of Walled Off Hotel, Banksy's latest project.

As you explore each room, you’ll dive into the history of this elusive street artist. By the end of your visit, you'll better understand the driving force behind his most controversial pieces—whether it’s a love for urban art, political satire, or raising social awareness. Banksy's motivations are as diverse and intriguing as the art itself.
