Join us on a fascinating private tour of Manchester, a city renowned for its football legacy but with a wealth of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
As the seventh most populous city in England, Manchester is not only a modern hub but also holds a rich history as one of the world's foremost textile centers. It's the birthplace of the first computer with memory and storage and home to the oldest English-language public library in existence!
Our adventure begins at Piccadilly Gardens, where we'll gather before embarking on a journey through Manchester's captivating past and present. We'll explore Chinatown, marvel at the architectural splendor of Manchester Town Hall, and delve into the captivating history within the walls of the John Rylands Library.
Next, we'll pass by The Royal Exchange Theatre and St Ann's Church, each with its own captivating stories to tell. The knowledgeable guide will let us in on tons of little-known tidbits as we stroll along.
We'll walk down New Cathedral Street and admire the majestic Manchester Cathedral, a symbol of the city's enduring heritage. Throughout the tour, you'll gain insights into the rise of Manchester from a town to a metropolis, the influences of Saxons and Normans, the city's rich medieval past, the impact of the Protestant revolution, the resilience shown during the Blitzkrieg and World War II, and the transformative power of the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian Age.
Finally, after a total of 2 hours, our private tour will come to an end and we'll say our goodbyes.
