Learn how to make Morocco's authentic “liquid gold” and enjoy a tea ceremony by participating in this argan oil workshop in Marrakech.
We’ll meet at the Medina Mall Marrakech, a space dedicated to local crafts right in the heart of the Medina. There, we’ll be welcomed with a warm and hospitable traditional Moroccan tea ceremony, the perfect prelude to immersing ourselves in the country’s culture.
During the presentation, we’ll discover the origin, rich history, and immense cultural significance of the argan tree in Morocco. Next, we’ll begin the hands-on workshop, where we’ll experience firsthand the traditional oil-extraction process.
Drawing inspiration from the ancestral techniques passed down by Moroccan women from generation to generation, we’ll handle the argan fruits and seeds to understand the labor-intensive craftsmanship involved in their production.
As we participate in the process, we’ll learn to recognize the properties of this oil, both in its cosmetic uses for health and well-being and in its culinary applications. We’ll also discuss its connection to the traditional beauty rituals that are part of everyday life in Morocco.
After uncovering all the secrets of this valuable product, we’ll give you a sample to take home, and we’ll say goodbye at the starting point about 2 hours later.
