Discover the spectacular João Pessoa on our day trip from Recife. We'll explore the historic center and watch the sunset from the stunning Jacaré Beach.
How to Get to João Pessoa From Recife?
Would you like to discover Brazil’s third-oldest city? João Pessoa, the capital of the state of Paraíba, is a haven where Baroque history blends with one of the greenest cities in the world, according to the UN.
We’ll explore the highlights that make this capital a magical place, such as the Tea Pavilion, a beautiful monument located in Venâncio Neiva Square. Next, we’ll visit the Solon de Lucena Park Lagoon, the city’s most iconic spot, surrounded by imperial palm trees and lush foliage, with gardens that preserve the original layout designed by landscape architect Burle Marx.
Next, we’ll explore the exterior of the impressive São Francisco Cultural Center, a 16th-century Baroque complex, and also pass by other iconic spots such as the Convent of Santo Antonio, the Church of San Francisco, and the Museum of Sacred Art. Afterward, you’ll have lunch on your own, and we’ll take a tour along the coast, where we’ll see Cabo Branco Beach and Ponta do Seixas.
The highlight of the day will be Jacaré Beach. There, we’ll watch the sunset while listening to a bolero by Ravel. A sensory experience that has become an essential ritual in Northeast Brazil.
Finally, we’ll conclude this 8-hour day trip by returning to your hotel in Recife.
