If you are in São Sebastião, you cannot miss the experience of seeing humpback whales. It is one of the best places in Brazil to see these sea animals.
Nature lovers, welcome to this whale-watching experience. São Sebastião is one of the best places on the São Paulo coast to see humpback whales.
We will meet at the Pier Flutuante de São Sebastião, where we will board a boat that will take us sailing to see these majestic animals up close. Ready? Let's set sail!
We will sail through the waters of São Sebastião in search of humpback whales, which migrate from Antarctica to this region of Brazil in search of warmer waters for reproduction. During the tour, we will head to the surroundings of São Sebastião and Ilhabela, two of the best places for sightings.
While sailing, we will enjoy incredible views of the beautiful landscapes that characterize São Sebastião, such as its channels and beaches. You won't be able to stop taking photos. In addition, these waters are home to many marine animals such as turtles, dolphins and even penguins.
The boat will make a total of 2 stops so you do not miss any details of the whales we spot, a perfect moment to observe their behavior and learn about these majestic cetaceans.
Finally, we will return to the starting point, where this 3 to 4-hour tour will conclude.
The coast of São Sebastião is a strategic place to see whales, especially between May and August. However, the animals are unpredictable, so the number of whales seen will depend on different factors, such as weather conditions or the breeding and mating periods of each species.
