Perched on the banks of the Saône River, the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne of Mâcon is just an hour’s drive from Lyon, offering an immersive journey into the world of Burgundy wines.
With this ticket, you can visit this remarkable wine tourism center at your own pace. Housed in a striking, avant-garde lighthouse-shaped building, the complex is a landmark visible to boaters on the Saône, drivers on nearby roads, and cyclists along the scenic Moselle-Saône blue route—one of the region’s most popular bike paths.
Throughout your visit, you'll find different interactive panels that will allow you to learn about the winemaking tradition of Mâcon, considered the gateway to the vineyards of southern Burgundy. You'll also discover the wine regions of Mâconnais, Côte Chalonnaise, and Côtes du Couchois, learning to distinguish the unique characteristics of their renowned wines.
To complete your experience, your ticket includes a tasting of a glass of exquisite Burgundy wine—or, if you prefer, a refreshing glass of grape juice. You can also take part in wine-tasting workshops at the Cité, making this an unmissable experience for wine enthusiasts!
