Would you like to see Sitka’s marine wildlife? This boat trip is the best way to spot whales, orcas, and even brown bears in Alaska.
Sitka is one of the best places in Alaska to enjoy marine wildlife. To do so, we’ll meet at Harrigan Centennial Hall, where we’ll board a boat for an unforgettable cruise.
We’ll set sail across the waters of the North Pacific, home to countless species of marine wildlife, such as humpback whales, grey whales, minke whales, and orcas, which move in a more unpredictable manner in search of food. Throughout the cruise, an expert guide will share interesting facts about the animals we spot from the boat’s deck.
During the trip, you’ll also be able to spot otters, sea lions, seals, and even bald eagles soaring overhead. What’s more, if we’re lucky, we might even spot brown bears on the shore after they’ve had a swim. It’ll be a truly unique experience!
To make this boat trip even more special, throughout the journey we’ll admire the coastal scenery of Sitka National Historical Park, a setting that will capture your heart forever. It even managed to win over Sandra Bullock when she starred in the film The Proposal!
2 hours later, we’ll say our goodbyes at Sitka harbour.
Sitka is one of the best places in Alaska for whale watching. However, whales are unpredictable. The number of whales sighted will depend on various factors, such as the weather at the time and the breeding and rearing seasons of the different species.
